Q: Wow! You guys actually allow us to roll-over our data. How does this work?
You must purchase a Planet Pre-Paid broadband recharge card or voucher and apply it before the day usage term expires. Any unused data will rollover to your new day expiry term. So if you only used 300MB of your 1GB allowance, upon recharge with a 1GB card, your remaining usage will be 1700MB. Unused days will not rollover. Every recharge reset’s the days expiry term which is different for each card. Please see our Planet Pre-Paid broadband terms and conditions for more info on how Pre-Paid cards and vouchers work when recharging.
Q: How can I recharge?
A: Planet Pre-Paid has many outlets in Sydney and Melbourne you can purchase a recharge card from. You can also recharge online under the members section.

A: Planet Pre-Paid recommends browsing with Mozilla Firefox. See our downloads area for a quick download of the recommended version.

Q: What modems are compatible with Planet Pre-Paid?
A: To ensure you have the best experience with Planet Pre-Paid, its best to purchase a Planet Pre-Paid modem. Most Optus or Optus resold modems such as Dodo and Virgin will work with Planet Pre-Paid without unlocking. Telstra, 3 or Vodafone modems will also work, however, you may need an unlock code.
Q: I have an existing modem and need the configuration details. Help?
A: Planet Pre-Paid is unable to support all modem types. If you know how to change the default profile on your computer the config details are as follows:

Q: Am I able to send or receive SMS with the Mobile Broadband application?
A: Due to the nature of our plans, we are unable to provide SMS capability.
Q: What speed should I expect with Planet Pre-Paid broadband?
A: The Optus 3G network supports speeds up to 3.6Mbit/s. Due to many factors such as the location and distance from the tower, whether you are outside or inside, network used to connect (2G, 3G), capabilities of your modem, network congestion and the source of the download users can expect 512Kbits – 1.5Mbit/s in a reasonable 3G coverage area. Q: Your service rocks and I want more than 8GB of download per month. Is this possible?
A: This is possible if you purchase an additional SIM card. The maximum per SIM card per month is 8GB.
